Mother’s Oatmeal Cookies
Preheat oven to 400°
Cream together:
1/2 c. shortening
1-1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
6 T. molasses
Sift :
1-3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
Add to creamed mixture.
Stir in:
2 c. oats
½ c. chopped nuts
½ c. raisins
Drop on greased cookie sheet 2” apart. Flatten with glass dipped in water. Bake at 400° for 8-10 minutes.
